Acura NSX Hybrid on its way?
A few days ago, we had reported that there were speculations of a Honda Acura coupe coming in 2010. It seems that Honda’s luxury vehicle division is very busy these days. Now the 7Tune Web site is indicating that an Acura NSX Hybrid could be on its way. Earlier there were reports of the scrapping of the NSX, but now it doesn’t seem so.
Some anonymous sources have claimed that it was nothing but exaggeration of the reports of Acura NSX’s death. What’s more, apparently the Acura NSX Hybrid is Honda’s answer to the FT-HS hybrid sports car from their Japanese rivals, Toyota. They are aiming to beat Toyota in the aspect of fuel efficiency with their engine.
There is no word as to when will the Acura NSX Hybrid be released or what price band will it fall in. As for the engine details, there are speculations that Honda will make use of a valveless throttle 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be hybridized with the system. Let’s hope Honda’s Acura officially reveals the car soon.
